This "missing manual" is intended to help interested women unravel the complex timetable that is the Amsterdam lesbian scene.

First of all, you can check the LBExpat [Upcoming Events] page. You are more than welcome to join us, if any events are scheduled for that day!
Friday / Sunday Evenings
If it's Friday or Sunday night, you've got some great weekly options:
- On Friday nights there's a great women's club night at Cafe Sappho. The party starts to jump around 11 PM.
- On Sunday nights, the best club to go is De Trut. For this alternative mixed-gender club night, doors open at 10 PM. However it doesn't hurt to show up a little early since De Trut has notoriously long entrance waiting lines.
Monthly/Quarterly Club Nights
The monthly/quarterly club nights are much more fun than the weekly ones, if you're lucky enough to be around when one is happening. Here is how you can check if anything special is going on any particular evening:
- Flirtation happens five times per year. Check their website to see when the next one is.
- Garbo for Women: 1st Saturday of the month, from 5 PM-midnight. Dinner is 5-8 PM (RSVP required). The happy hour (2-for-1 drinks) is 7-8 PM. Dancing is from 8 PM-midnight.
- Girlesque parties happen every couple months. Check their website to see when the next one is.
- In Real Life: 3rd Sunday of the month from 4-9 PM. Things start to heat up around 6 PM.
Other Nights
If it's not Friday or Sunday night, and there's no weekly/quarterly dance party, then your best bet for a women's night out is Vive la Vie (for music and drinking) or Saarein (for lounging and playing pool). Both of these locations are open 7 days per week, and will make for a fun evening out.
